We are slowly expanding our knowledge on how to utilize this mushroom to its maximum potential.
100g Chaga Power
200g Chaga Chucks
1oz Dual-Extraction Chaga Tincture
All our chaga is sourced from forests surrounding Thunder Bay Ontario, hundreds of kilometres away from any city or town. All the chaga is naturally grown in forest conditions so you can be sure of its purity and quality. Chaga from colder climates is of higher quality. With temperatures frequently dipping below -20 degrees Celsius, Thunder Bay offers some of the highest quality chaga in Canada. The Powder is one of the most common ways to ingest chaga by making tea. Hot water is one of two ways to extract the nutrients from the mushroom. To use the powder add one tablespoon of powder per cup to a tea bag (we recommend fibre tea bag because the powder is very fine) and steep for 10 – 15 minutes. Add your choice of sweetener or whitener to your liking. You can also simmer larger quantities for several hours to make a more potent “tea” and refrigerate after it cool for several days. The chunks are used to make tea as well. Add one or two chunks to a pot or kettle and boil for 10 to 15 minutes until the water is stained to your desired amount. The chunks can be used multiple times until the water fails to become stained (usually 3-5 times depending on size). You can also simmer larger quantities for several hours to make a more potent “tea” and refrigerate after it cool for several days. Chaga tincture is the best way to enjoy all the benefits the mushroom offers. Chaga tincture is made using a hot water and alcohol extraction. This maximizes the available nutrients as some nutrients are only alcohol soluble. The tincture is 25% ABV. Recommended dosage is 0.5 to 2ml per day. It can be taken sublingually or added to your favourite beverage.
